Finding Mero releases his latest EP ‘A While’ via Export Quality Records. ‘A While’ is a refreshing and meticuluosly produced electronica EP, made to make you dance and lose yourself in the many layers of detail that exist within the soundscape Mero has laid out for us.‘Breakfree’, the aptly-named first track of the EP, relies on a crisp drum break, interspersed with cleverly processed vocals that make for an enchanting melody.This is followed by the dancefloor favourite ‘Bubble’ - a buoyant track with pumping synths and precise percussion that makes grooving to it irresistible. ‘Dolorous’ is an inspired and rhythmically driven track that builds layer by layer, each holding its own space and climaxes with a tabla beat that sits surprisingly well in the soundscape that’s been built.The EP closes out with ‘Crave’, an easygoing track driven by a moody vocal sample as a melody that leaves you feeling elated, and ‘Sweet Escape’, a melodic track that toes the line between house and electronica, is paced brilliantly.
