Guided by the belief that the smallest sounds often make the biggest noise, Frame/Frame plumbs the natural soundscape for his debut album, ‘Driftwood’, a carefully crafted distillation of his own experiences and experiments with electronic music and beyond.
There is beauty to be found even in the prosaic—creaking oars form the undulating rhythm of the title track, the bassline on ‘3 am at Magfields’ is a rasping door, a whistle recorded in the bathroom becomes a compelling hook in ‘U.N.I.’, while kitchen utensils supply the rousing percussion in ‘High Ceilings’
‘Driftwood’ is an invitation to move, to breathe, to smile, to see the world with the clarity that only a 4 am dance-floor epiphany can provide.
